How to begin describing the adventures in which the crew of Babylon's train gets into? This time our good friend and colleague Wilson Posada best known as Report Illegal, tattoo and Hip-Hop artist, and host of Radio Barrio 102.5 FM, invited us to cruice through Vulcan Studios to do an interview with none other than today’s Latin sensation, MC, producer and activist Héctor Guerra from Pachamama Crew.
¿Como empezar a describir las aventuras en las que el crew de Babylon’s Tren se mete? En esta ocasión nuestro buen amigo y colega Wilson Posada mejor conocido como el Reporte Ilegal, artista de Hip-Hop, tatuador y conductor de Radio Barrio 102.5 FM, nos invito a dar una vuelta por el Vulcán para hacer una entrevista con ni más ni menos que con la sensación del momento, el MC, productor y activista Héctor Guerra de Pachamama Crew.
In his 29 years of age, the Spanish-Bolivian has established his importance and weight in the music secene. Eleven years earlier, DJ Lord of Public Enemy likened 18 year old Guerra and asked him to join them on their Spain 2003 tour. Two years later he founded Pachamama Crew (group representing Latino immigration) and choose to take the most direct route to reach out to the public, by singing and selling singles in the subways and streets of Madrid. To the crew’s surprise, the public’s reaction was fascinating and soon their fame grew, as well as their sales. In 2011 Pachamama Crew signed with Warner Music and released their first official album entitled "Tears." To celebrate the good news, two of their singles simultaneously occupied the first and second place in the MTV-Madrid’s Top-50. At the end of that year, Guerra signed with BMI and released the hit single "What's Up?," landing him first place in sales on iTunes Mexico.
En sus 29 años de edad, el hispano-boliviano ha definido su peso en el ambito músical y marcado territorio, ya que desde los 18 años fué apadrinado por DJ Lord de Public Enemy y los acompaño en su gira por España en el 2003 como artista invitado. Dos años después Guerra funda Pachamama Crew (grupo representando la inmigración latina) y optan por tomar la ruta mas directa de llegarle al publico, cantando y vendiendo sencillos en los metros y las calles de Madrid. Para la sorpresa de los chicos la reacción fué fascinante y en poco tiempo su fama creció y también el numero de ventas. En el 2011 Pachamama Crew firma con Warner Music y lanzan su primer álbum oficial titulado “Lagrimas” y para celebrar la buena noticia dos de sus sencillos ocupan simultáneamente el primer y segundo lugar en el top 50 de MTV-Madrid. Al final del mismo año Guerra firma con BMI y saca “What’s Up?,” exitoso sencillo que ocupo el primer lugar por varios días en iTunes-México.
Como ya se han de haber dado cuenta, este muchachito tiene mas batería que una computadora conectada a la electricidad, lo digo porque éxito tras éxito han servido como impulso para crear y colaborar en proyectos con resultados grandes como lo fué el más reciente Festival Wirikuta en donde llegaron más de 60,000 personas a escuchar el line-up de sus bandas favoritas que compartían el escenario por una muy buena causa, la de evitar que las compañías mineras violen el territorio Wirikuta, tierra sagrada para la cultura Huichol, ya que estas 140 mil hectáreas de San Luís Potosí son consideradas la zona en donde la creación del mundo ocurrió. El festival fué un éxito rotundo y se recaudó más de 8 millones de pesos que fueron donados a la comunidad para la creación de proyectos sustentables.

The collective releases the album Wirikuta Station and within days, the album as well as the single "Wirikuta Defends Itself" become the most sought out material on iTunes and Mexico.

excavar hoyos llamados minas de los más grandes en América Latina. Es
por eso que figuras conocidas e importantes como Rubén de Café Tacvba,
Roco de la Maldita Vecindad, Lengua Alerta, Sonidero Mestizo, Memo
Méndez Guiu, Héctor Guerra, entre otros deciden forman el Colectivo Aho,
comité organizador del festival. El colectivo saca el álbum Estación
Wirikuta y en cuestión de días, el álbum como también el sencillo
“Wirikuta Se Defiende” se convierte en el material más buscado y vendido
en iTunes-México.
